Thoughtful Thursday - November 7th

Welcome back for the start of a new month! The countdown's well and truly on to the end of the year, so without further ado… Let’s step to it!

Holidays & Changes with Andrea
It’s mainly full houses and business as usual at all the clinics, but you can check out all the details here on our website, and also meet the new faces joining Team Putney!

This Month's Socials with Matilda
Alright, Chiro.London crew, Movember is officially in full swing!  Prepare yourselves for some questionable moustache choices from the CL lads... (we're looking at you, Tom) 😜

But in all seriousness, did you know that men are 24% less likely to visit their healthcare professional than women? We're on a mission to change that! Keep an eye on our Instagram this month for a special focus on men's health and wellness.

Now, you might have heard whispers of a legendary step challenge happening around here... and yes, the rumours are true. Our teams walked a staggering 8,586,421 steps combined over the course of October, with our winner Luke B clocking a very impressive 861,944 steps!

Studies actually show that people who use a pedometer walk almost 2,500 more steps a day than those who don’t! Dare I say I think we all enjoyed a little friendly competition? 😉 From Drew 2.0 crushing it with her fancy run club (show-off!) to yours truly embracing the indoor life with stair-master sessions accompanied by Gilmore Girls (because, hello, autumn vibes!), movement is movement, right? 😅

Speaking of high step counts… the Chiro.London Pod, proudly fuelled by Ground Coffee Society is back again, and this month Craig talks to ultra runner Anna Brown.

Anna was very new to chiropractic but in the lead-up to a huge ultra marathon event – the Spartathalon, a 246km race from Athens to Sparta – her body went into meltdown. It was only a month out from the event and she sought help from us at Putney Chiropractic.

As always, this ep and the back catalogue can be found on our website, Spotify, Apple and Google.

Shameless Plug from Tom
Hello again, Tom “sizeable calves from excessive walking” Smith here with another plug from another month of happenings.

As I am sure everyone who follows our social media already knows, our October step challenge is over but that doesn’t mean that we’re boarding up the windows and waiting out the winter months; I will be braving these overcast days and taking Chiro.London to this weekend’s Tooting Mind, Body & Soul Festival!

As I have waxed lyrical about in previous newsletters, chiropractic care takes a holistic approach to healthcare and what better way to champion that message than by throwing our hat into the ring of a festival dedicated to the same cause.

We like to get as involved in our respective communities as possible – partnering with local cafes, rowing clubs, gyms, yoga studios, schools – but it’s time to put boots on the ground and faces to names.

I’ll be there Saturday and Sunday with some friendly faces in tow, so if you are in the area, in need of a weekend activity, or just want to say hello, feel free to swing by! Even if you’ve already been bitten by the chiro bug, who knows what else could tickle your fancy at the festival?

Well done to all the team for embracing the October step challenge. Keeping moving in simple ways is an easy way to improve your health and wellbeing! May reissue the challenge for January if some of you would care to join us?

Till next time…

Keep moving
Stay hydrated
Crack on!

Cheers!
Drew
